I am always interested in hearing from motivated researchers whose interests genuinely connect with the work of our group. However, I receive a large number of unsolicited and often rather generic applications. If you contact me about a PhD, postdoctoral, internship, or research opportunity, please take some time to familiarize yourself with our research first.

To show me that you have informed yourself about the team, include one sentence in your email that starts with:

“If I could teach a machine learning model one thing about the world, it would be …”

There is no correct answer. Be creative — I am genuinely curious. Applications that do not include this sentence may not receive a response.
